Forge Scotland is a training & resourcing organisation for new missional expressions of church.
NURTURING & RESOURCING THE MISSIONAL CHURCH
Forge Scotland exists to help nurture and resource the missional church in Europe. In order to do this, Forge Scotland cultivates missional community across the country by identifying, developing, and nurturing missional leaders. Forge does not plant churches or run ministries, but instead trains missionaries to thrive in whatever context they are called to, be that a local church, a neighbourhood, a professional network, etc. Through a combination of the Forge Pioneer Course, the Forge Support Network, other training events and resources, we aim to nurture and resource the missional church throughout Scotland.
A MISSIONARY TRAINING NETWORK
While Forge doesn’t plant churches, we do champion and connect missional pioneers. Forge is unique in that it allies innovative church plants, mission ventures, academic theological training, and a number of denominations and agencies. The Forge network is led by active missional practitioners who are able to offer significant experiential training in pioneering contexts.
“WE KNOW THAT THERE IS A FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE THAT IS REQUIRED, IF WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE RADICAL RE-EVANGELISATION OF OUR CONTINENT.”
– Alan McWilliam, Director Forge Europe

The Forge Pioneer Course is a spiritual formation and training process for those who sense that God might be leading them into creating new expressions of church. Through a combination of mentoring huddles, training weekends, in context experience and individual learning and reflection, our aim is to prepare people to launch into what God is calling them to do!
